What is STEM & Why?
Don't get confused by the name, it is for all of us.
Coming from the business world into education has been a very interesting and sometimes frustrating transition for me. Things in education just don't always make that much sense, and to be honest, the system did not work all that well for me. That is why I am 100% behind the big STEM push in education. The biggest problem right now is that there is much confusion about what STEM education really is and why it is so important for our schools, students, and even society. STEM education is more than a program or an event, it is an approach to teaching problem solving, critical thinking, creativity, and collaboration. I look forward to sharing with you what STEM education really is and why it matters for every student that we teach.
